OCT (Ocular Coherence Topography) is an advanced 3D eye scan for assessing your eye health and your general health. It is a supplement to the tried and tested digital eye photography and allows us to scan beneath the surfaces of the eye in a quick, non-invasive manner by using ultrasound.

By upgrading to this advanced technology we can check for potentially series conditions such as vitreous, epi-retinal and retinal detachments, amongst others as outlined in the video.

Dr Scott Mackie or Dr Roisin Mackie will discuss the scan with each individual patient. This procedure (OCT and Digital photography) can be carried out in addition to your NHS Eye examination.
