Mackie Opticians, eyecare specialists, are now pleased to offer all patients a full eye examination free of charge, including:

  • Computerised Refraction (Sight Test)
  • Ophthalmoscopy (Glaucoma & Diabetic Screening)
  • Visual Field Test (Peripheral Vision)
  • Tonometry (Eye Pressure)
  • Funduscopy (Eye drops for Screening)

All residents of Scotland are now entitled to a free comprehensive eye examination as funded by the NHS.

ABOUT US

Mackie opticians is owned and run by husband and wife team Dr Scott Mackie and Dr Roisin Mackie. Each is a consultant optometrist at hospital and is an examiner for the professional body. They also both have a PhD in Primary Eye care, a Diploma in Low Vision, are course organisers for the largest two day retraining course for opticians in the U.K. and publish papers in Scientific journals. As independent opticians they are very much part of the community offering you a personal, professional service at competitive prices.
